Emergence of Form, when design and technology mix

AGC, a global producer of glass and high tech materials, returned for the fifth consecutive year to Milan Design Week with an evocative installation entitled "Emergence of Form".

The real heart of the project are the art objects that were made thanks to the creative contribution of Keita Suzuki, a famous Japanese designer. State-of-the-art art and technology have blended together to transcend the formal limits of glass and ceramics.

One can only admire the bubbles created thanks to an innovative treatment technique that allows a maximum curvature of the glass, moulded to its physical limit.

Or the three-dimensional artistic creation that reproduces ripples on a water surface using Brightorb ™ materials.

Patented by AGC, Brightorb ™ was the true innovation of this installation: this high-performance material was specifically designed for 3D printers. It is the result of extraordinary technological expertise in the field of ceramics treatment, acquired by the company during its 100 years of history. By using two sophisticated materials like ceramics and glass, Keita Suzuki has created a space that evokes the ever-changing beauty of nature.

While in the real world, the landscape is in constant motion, Keita Suzuki has extracted a single moment, capturing its own essence.

An installation full of poetry, finesse and advanced technology.
