Etherea, a monumental work by Edoardo Tresoldi

The Italian artist, known for his majestic grid sculptures exhibited around the world, focused his research on the perception of space and the relationship between landscape elements, while playing with a significant change of size.

Through one of his latest creations, named Etherea, Edoardo Tresoldi wanted to create different perspectives as the visitor wanders through the installation.

The installation consists of a series of three sculptures made of a transparent grid inspired by baroque and neoclassical architecture. The three sculptures are positioned on the same axis, and measure respectively 11, 16.5 and 22 meters high, all having exactly the same shape. Result? The work generates an optical holographic type effect; disconcerting to some!
