An exclusive launch event for the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster
H.R. Owen - the UK's leading luxury car dealership group held an exclusive launch event for the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster at its huge new multi-brand showroom in Hatfield.
Hennessey, an American tuner and manufacturer based in Texas, has unveiled its Venom F5 open-air supercar.
The F5 - a 1,817 horsepower V8 hypercar claims to be the fastest roadster in the world. It was introduced to a select group of guests by company founder John Hennessey, Hennessey design director Nathan Malinick, Hennessey test driver and professional racing driver Alex Brundle, and H.R. Owen managing director, Ken Choo.
With a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine powering the rear wheels, the Venom F5 Roadster delivers performance like no other. This big-block is placed in the rear central position in a monocoque carbon fiber chassis which limits its weight to approximately 1,400 kg.
Without the removable carbon fiber composite roof panel, the feeling of speed is even higher, and the intoxicating noise of the engine reverberates even more in the cabin, especially when this extraordinary engine reaches its redline of 8,000 revs per min.
Capable of a truly astonishing speed of 311 mph, or over 500 km/h, the Venom F5 Roadster is a hypercar in a class of its own. The goal of this Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster is simple: to be the fastest convertible car in the world.
An extremely rare sight on the roads, as only 30 examples will be built, each one is bespoke to its owner's exact specifications.
