Dior presents the know-how of scarves

It requires a unique and delicate expertise and Maison Dior is one of its undisputed masters: scarves ...

Infusing a touch of elegance and daring, scarves shine at the heart of the Dior autumn-winter 2021-2022 ready-to-wear collection.

The emblematic codes of the House as well as the works created for Dior by the Italian artist Pietro Ruffo are transposed onto fabric through a first essential step, the colorization, thanks to the method of pen engraving.

These poetic sketches are subsequently deployed on exceptional silk inside the House's Italian workshops, through silkscreen or inkjet printing.

In the next phase, the silk fabrics pass repeatedly through a halo of steam, then are washed in successive baths, until they obtain the ideal look and feel. Once they've been cut by hand, the squares receive their final finishes, frayed or rolled up. Infinitely meticulous gestures, expressions of the particular attention to the art of detail that makes Dior scarves so refined.
