Wynken: summer collection that’s full of freedom
The London unisex brand has this season imagined a contemporary wardrobe featuring pieces with voluminous shapes and soft materials.
The Wynken summer collection was inspired by pre-revolution Cuba and in particular the nightlife of Havana. The studio photographs of the 1950s, cigar box illustrations, the Cuban magazine 'Carteles' with its iconic typography and the music of the Buena Vista Social Club complete the influences of this wardrobe. The long or short combinations and Cuban shirts take little ones to another era while keeping a modern and contemporary style.
Flamingos, the cha cha cha, tropical palm trees and banana leaves are the flagship prints.
They are found on shorts, dresses, shirts, knotted blouses, and complete the colour palette made up of lilac, pink nude roses, cigars and summer whites. Stripes and plaid are also in the game this season!
We love the pretty light dresses with patterns all over, tank tops with ruffled necks, mixed 3/4 length trousers or cotton dresses with loose sleeves. Some pieces are more sportswear with jogging bottoms, hoodies and other loose tee-shirts. We love the flared skirts with raw edges, pockets and a zip on the front. Another key piece? The green bottle shirt with embroidered palm trees.
We find the wink design on a tee-shirt, pants or on a canvas bag. A logo that reflects the fantasy of the brand recalling the never to forget little magical moments of life. The brand Wynken is also present in small touches like the strings of a jogging pant, or on the sleeves of a sweatshirt.
A sweet collection for this summer...
