Lady Dior and its ties to Lady Diana

Lady Dior, an intimate story with Lady Diana.

Icon of the House, the Lady Dior bag is symbolically linked to the story of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales.

This accessory became one of Lady Di's essentials, and she wore it on all her outings.

In September 1995, while attending the inauguration of the Paul Cézanne retrospective at the Grand Palais in Paris, the First Lady of France presented her with a brand new Dior bag - then named Chouchou - a unique creation that had not yet been launched. In November of the same year, the Princess was on an official visit to Argentina: when she got off the plane in Buenos Aires, she appeared carrying the bag she had received as a gift a few weeks earlier; a scene immortalized in a photograph that went around the world.

Seduced, she also wanted a navy blue version, matching the color of her eyes. Thanks to this exceptional godmother who loved its modern and elegant curves - and quite simply "because it suited her well", in her own words - this object of desire was officially named the Lady Dior.

It was from there that the Lady Dior became a legend, and behind this iconic bag is a whole lot of expertise that we can discover now in pictures
