Jaquet Droz unveiled its Signing Machine.
After 4 years of development, Jaquet Droz unveils its Signing Machine. And it was at Baselworld, for the 280th anniversary of the Swiss house, that the Signing Machine was unveiled.
A great way to continue the age-old tradition of Mechanical Wonder initiated by its founder in 1738. This exceptional object, with a contemporary and refined design, thus continues the Pierre Jaquet-Droz legacy: to create mechanical marvels, unique pieces, capable of copying the living with the mastery of magic and mystery.
For this Signing Machine, the movement has been reworked in its fluidity and is now equipped with a power reserve display. The latter makes it possible to make two complete signatures, before having to be reassembled by a lever located on the side of the Machine. Thanks to highly complex movements, animated by a set of handmade cams in order to reproduce a cursive and natural writing, The Signing Machine, secured by a 4-digit code, reproduces an identical signature of its holder.
It’s certainly a performance to admire through a transparent window revealing the mechanism and attests, in this digital age, to the unique and magical beauty of the exceptional mechanics created by Jaquet Droz.
