Lego version of the Orient Express

Travel on the LEGO version of the Orient Express!

Nicknamed the "rolling palace", the Orient Express was the world's first international luxury train. It carried thousands of passengers across Europe and to Istanbul from 1883 to 1977. And we can now discover this magnificent reconstruction in LEGO® bricks of one of the most luxurious and legendary means of transport in the world. On sale to mark the train's 140th anniversary, this new 2,540-brick LEGO® product transports builders to the golden age of travel. All the characteristic elements of the train are represented: the main locomotive, the tender, the dining cars and the sleeping cars.

The LEGO Ideas Orient Express Train model also features removable roofs for access to detailed interiors, as well as eight LEGO minifigures, including the conductor, a chef, staff and several passengers. Decorative elements evoking the destinations the train was traveling to on its original route are also included. The product was designed by Thomas Lajon, 27, a French LEGO construction fan, as part of the LEGO Ideas program. 10,000 people voted for the concept proposed by Thomas to become a real LEGO product.
