The Concept Link, the new-generation scooter from BMW

The Concept Link, the new-generation scooter from BMW. It is likely the scooter of tomorrow 100 electric and connected! Unveiled for the first time at the Villa dEste annual Concours delegance in Italy, this new two-wheeler, represents a new understanding of urban mobility.

It connects the digital and analogue world and focuses on the driver and his mobility needs, says Edgar Heinrich, head of design at BMW Motorrad.

The Concept Link with its futuristic design goes even further than the current electric scooter of the brand, the C Evolution. The side panels do not completely cover the rear part of the machine, leaving a glimpse of some mechanical elements, the seat is customizable and adjustable in terms of length in single-seater or two-seater mode. As for the helmet, it is now placed in a side compartment equipped with a sliding door.

More functional, the Concept Link offers at last a reverse function! And to finish, this is a surprising 2.0 version.

The device will be able to connect to your smartphone in order to display your calendar or plan the fastest routes in advance. Speed, battery charge level, and navigation information will be projected onto the windscreen in the pilots field of view. The secondary information will be available on a touch screen, positioned under the handlebars.

The engine of the future could be in salesrooms by 2020.
